Common Sense Health Care and Amendment 3

Proponents of the new amendment 3 believe restoring common sense health care standards to the practice of abortion is crucial.

It’s common sense, health care providers should wash their hands before and immediately after killing babies. It will help prevent the spread of germs.

Does anyone else see the elephant in the room? This twisted argument is utter nonsense. An unfortunate, but very real consequence of killing unborn children is that abortive mothers are also putting themselves at risk of injury, trauma, and sometimes even death. Hand washing will never clean the hands of an abortionist. Abortion is not safe and it cannot be made safe because it always results in death and/or injury. It is not health care, no matter how much we sanitize it and require credentialed professionals to perform it.

The strategy of getting the abortion industry to clean up their act has only worked to confuse our culture and distract Christians from their calling to hold back those stumbling to the slaughter. What is crucial is that we actually see abortion for what it is. “Helping” vulnerable women obtain “safe” abortions in a convenient and legal manner is NOT something a Christian should ever do. This is enabling murder and we will be held accountable for our actions one day. There is a very clear line between holding hands out to a woman in need, offering support and guidance to real help and salvation from sin versus holding a woman’s hand and walking with her as she carries out that sin.

An argument to support safe and sanitary abortion is flawed at its core. A deceptive feel good maneuver that results in death nonetheless. Psalm 24 asks; Who will stand in the Lord’s holy place? He who has clean hands and a pure heart, who does not lift up his soul to what is false and does not swear deceitfully. He will receive blessing from the Lord.
